Server problem: CPU usage 100%

0
Hi there,
I'm a new one in the job plus in this nice society, and this is my first post in the forum.
I'm not sure if I have selected the correct category for my post. If not, please remove it to the correct one.

I have developed a Joomla site for a tourist agent. My hosting company called me and told me that the site consumes 100% of the servers CPU, slowing down the other sites. He told me that the problem probably occurs because of some components that we are using. He also told me that the problem might be because of the google maps and weather modules that we are using. We are using lots of google maps (about 25) embedded in our site, one for each destination, plus weather modules.

What is your opinion?

Kind regards,
Rodotheos

      Hi Rodotheos,

Generally Joomla is very heavy script, I would not recommend deploying it on shared hosting, recommended configuration is at least lowend VPS, but preferably something with at least 256MB RAM at at least 700MHZ CPU. As well some fine tuning of PHP.ini is necessary.

      Regards
      Kal
