Every year developers and experts from Google organize a conference in which they present their latest technological achievements and plans that should be implemented in the next period. Google's people do not leave anything to chance and meticulously prepare every conference.
Following Google I/O has a hypnotizing effect on the brain because it is unbelievable that one company has developed and still is developing such outstanding projects which look as if they have just been taken from a science-fiction movie.
At this year's conference, the main hits were the new version of the Android OS, improved versions of the Google Car and Google Glasses combined with the Google wearable computing gadgets. Google has positioned itself not only as a leading search engine and browser, with its Google Search and Google Chrome, but it also proudly walks hand in hand with Apple when it comes to smartphone apps and OS. Also, the newest Google craze is indulging into the field or robotics and making the Google Robot.
Google Glasses and Android Wear
When you have as many products and lines as Google has, the most natural thing is unifying them into a Google centre on the users body. Google Android Wear is a smartwatch that gives its users information in form of passing cards. Also, this wearable gadget can be connected to your Android smartphones and tablets, showing notifications whenever something new happens on those gadgets.
One of the main reasons for such a wearable solution lies in the fact that people check their smartphones dozens, even hundreds times a day. With the Android Wear you will be informed without having to check the smartphones and tablets all the time.
Besides that, Android Wear can interact with the Google Glass, as well, so that the whole circle of Google products can be connected into a Google body centre.
Technology-enhanced Android Auto
While the Google Car project has already been going on for several years and first models have been successfully tested, Google does not want to stop, but turns to new automobile solutions. At this Google I/O they have presented their plans to make the Android Auto. In contrast to the Google Car, which is a driver-less vehicle, Android Auto is supposed to be enriched with the Android OS screen, which will be directly connected to the smartphone. That way driver will not get distracted by using the phone, but rather operate it via the controlling screen. This feature includes buttons on the steering will to alleviate the use when driving, as well as the possibility to display Google Maps on the screen.
Finally, you will not need a special navigation gadget, but everything will be packed into the Android Auto system. Also, the voice command options will be available as well and drivers will only have to drive and enjoy all these driving enhancements that Google has prepared.
The race for the dominance in the technology-driven world is merciless but Google proves that playing smart and making right investments at the right time not only keeps you in the race, but also stay among the leading runners among the competition.
