Is Cloud Hosting Right for Your Business?

Have you heard a great deal about cloud hosting lately? Are you wondering whether it’s a good option for your business? Cloud hosting can help to optimize your business website, especially if you have a large online company requiring the best in website functionality, expansion potential and security issues. What can cloud hosting offer your business? • Many Servers  With cloud hosting, your website will have the use of a cluster of servers rather than just one large server, as regular hosting offers. Several servers will be assigned the task of overseeing each function of your site, ensuring that you will have optimal functioning of every aspect of your business website throughout each day. • More Efficient Handling of High Traffic  Cloud hosting will assist your site in handling a high volume of traffic, which is especially beneficial for large businesses where millions of visitors can be expected to stop by every day. With regular servers, there can be delays and slower speeds, and crashes can also happen if servers are not able to handle the volume at any given time. If crashes occur, it can be very detrimental to your business, leaving potential customers with a negative experience and...

Speed-up Website with Free CDN

Without a doubt there are so many articles related to website speed. Certainly it is very important to have fast website or blog – first because website speed plays important part for achieving higher SERP and 2nd (which probably is more important) to serve your content faster to website visitors. Nobody likes slow website! Realistically, every website suffer from slow loading, unless it is hosted on cloud or have already utilize use of CDN. For instance WebmaisterPro is hosted in USA – loading time in Texas is 6sec, in Washington, DC – 8sec, but loading time in Europe is getting higher – London, UK – 10sec, Istanbul 12sec... and this is in term of static test – the reality is much different with 100 members on our website the speed goes up to 25sec! Don't get us wrong – we are also using CDN and gzip compression, just the answer to have faster website isn't very simple and depends on so many factors. Honestly, I am getting really mad when I read an article written by some copycat blogger that give “superb tips” rewritten from “A-list” blogger that also doesn't have a clue about server-side optimization, script optimization, number of requests,...

Exploring Content Piracy And Discovering What It Has Done To Web Hosting

The war waged by major record and movie companies on internet piracy as well as the numerous laws that were brought to the public attention and that eventually failed to be passed (SOPA for instance) is no secret to anyone. Without taking one side or the other in this seemingly never-ending series of battles – nobody can state with absolute certainty who the bad guys are at this point – let's explore a less familiar topic, namely the effects of online content piracy on web hosting. At the same time, we will also discuss some of the upshots of the battle between content owners and the pirates. Yarrr! How it all started Piracy dates from a simpler time, namely 1998, when the very first file sharing service – Napster – was born, allowing people from all over the world to download and share digital content (mainly music), with or without the permission of the copyright owners. On the very same year but at a prior date, an important act was passed in the US (the Digital Millennium Copyright Act). The DMCA had, at least in theory, the role to put an end to piracy by establishing a system of notification and...

Which Web Hosting Is The Right One For You?

Web hosting is when a server hosts a particular website to make it accessible to those surfing the internet. Everyone with a website needs some form of web hosting. This is because without a server it is impossible to access a website. A website designer could create a site but without a host this site would be worthless. In other words, everyone needs web hosting but the type of hosting needed varies depending upon the needs of the site. Free Web Hosting Free web hosting is available and it may seem like a great option. However, there are some serious drawbacks to this choice. Free hosting means that advertisements such as banners or even pop-up ads may be on the website. The creator generally has no choice as to what types of ads appear. There are some free hosting options that are better than others but all-around this is not the ideal choice for someone who is serious about uploading a website to a valid server with a good reputation. Paid Web Hosting There are many different paid web hosting servers. These servers generally come with a lot more extras than the free options. For example, they may provide e-mail addresses,...
