Top 3 Web Design Tips for the New Website Builder to Follow

Building a website from scratch isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but once you get rolling and have a completed site right before your eyes, there’s little out there that can match that feeling of accomplishment.

But even though it can be rewarding and a fun experience, there are still things you need to look out for so you don’t run into any unnecessary problems with your design. So if you’re looking into building a proper site, here are 3 things to keep in mind:

Clean, Efficient, Bold

These are the three ideals that you should keep in mind when building your site. You want it to have a clean look so it doesn’t look too busy, which is an efficient use of space. But you also want it to be unique and bold at the same time.

If your site doesn’t hold anything in these areas, you should do some serious thinking as to what you can do to fix this.

But let that scare you into thinking you need to reinvent the wheel, because you don’t.

Use What’s Familiar

If you don’t know how to use Dreamweaver like the pros use, don’t sit there and pretend to know. That’s not to say that you can’t learn how to use the program, but don’t dive into a complicated site with little idea on how to build.

If you’re not interested in learning a complicated program, CMS systems are all over the place, and can give you the tools you need.

Be Consistent

If you’re building sites for clients, you don’t always need to create the best site on the planet; it’s okay if you reuse some elements from your other sites.

Being consistent will give your brand its own flavor, one that is easily seen from an outside source. Give it a shot!

That should do it. Have at it!
