The Key To The Money Tree Has Been Found By Mobile Developers

If you do not like those small ads in your smartphone apps and programs, you may want to think hard about buying another smartphone. Those ads are going to be even more prevalent soon. They happen to be the path to riches for many developers of mobile apps for Android, iPhone or other mobile operating systems found on mobile devices.

A Little Ad Can Feed A Programmer's Family

The smartphone is growing up and developers are assuming the marketing positions of large corporations. Google is one of those large corporations who likes to give away free things encrusted with plenty of ads. Mobile developers are taking this example for their own work. The free app encrusted with plenty of ads is the modern way for a programmer to make a quick buck or three.

International Research For Mobile Money

A company named "IHS Screen Digest" has done a study showing that the top way to make money in a place like the Android market is to give the app away. Free is good, but the app should also have some form of "in app" advertising to go along with it. The IHS Screen Digest is a company that performs international research that covers global media markets. They are predicting big numbers all the way up to the year 2015.

The Predictions Are High

The numbers are impressive for those who are going to be making money with mobile apps. For last year, the total market return was 39 percent. The year 2015 will see a jump to 64 percent. The total in dollars is $970 million for the year 2011 and $5.6 billion for the year 2015. The same IHS company says that smartphone users naturally like the free version of apps. They say that 96 percent of the smartphone apps downloaded last year were free. With mobile users already accustomed to getting a free app when they want one, it will be hard to convince them to hand over cash in the future. This is where an "in app" purchase will come in very handy for the hungry mobile programmer.

Mobile Ad Agencies Continue To Sprout

Mobile ad agencies are already targeted for buyouts. Admob was acquired by Google for a cool $750 million dollars. Another company named "Millennial Media" was bought for $15 million dollars. Yet another mobile ad agency by the name of "Celtra" has received $5 million dollars in funding. It is easy to see where this is going when millions of dollars are being thrown at mobile advertising. Those developers are getting more important by the day.
