There are credible ways to add links to your site, such as asking for a reciprocal link, adding comments to reputable blogs and including your link, etc. As the old adage goes, if it’s too good to be true, it is. A little extra work goes a long way when it comes to linkbuilding. 

PPC: It’s Not Just about Waiting to See what Sticks

The most crucial part of an AdWord campaign is the beginning. What you can do now will affect your ability to use the service later. In fact, using it incorrectly could cause you to be penalized, making it just about impossible to recover from. Don’t just come up with your keywords and ads off the cuff … smart marketers know research is the foundation to a successful PPC campaign.

Google determines ad rank by the price you’re willing to pay plus the click-thru-rate of your ad. If you’ve got an ad that isn’t performing well, you may never get listed at the top of results, even if you’re willing to pay large sums to do so. If your ad performs poorly, Google may actually disable it.

That’s why you need to carefully plan your campaign. Research your keywords, write a strong ad, bid effectively and set up your account settings correctly. Then, watch it like a hawk in the first few weeks. If it isn’t performing well, take action quickly to change what isn’t working. Otherwise, you will have to pay a much higher price to get a higher placement.
