Pingdom is one amazing tool for calculating the loading speed of a website. The software tool is easy to use. One of the most amazing things about this tool is that it allows the user to test a site from a whole lot of different servers. Moreover, there is a special option that allows the user to take decision on whether to keep the results private or make it public. After that, the desired server location needs to be selected. Then, put the site URL address in the search bar. There is a tab by the name "TEST". Click it. The result page will be displayed. Go through the result bar and the user can easily figure out the particular site's load time, performance grade, page size, request number, etc.

Now, it is time to pay close attention to the result page. After all, detailed analysis needs to be done, isn't it? How about focusing at the navigation bar located just at the bottom of the result page? It is in this bar that entire results are explained in full detail. The total analysis is carried out in the form of different sectional views like performance grade, waterfall, history, and page analysis. Want to know the total time the site takes for loading? Look at the waterfall view and everything will be made cleared. In order to learn about each file loading time, click on the "Arrow" present beside each of these files. Those files that take too long to get loaded can be deleted or upgraded using special steps to improve the loading speed of the site.

Next, have a look at the Performance Sectional view displaying on the result. In this section, the site is provided with a number out of one hundred. The number is a sort of grading that is provided after judging several factors concerning a site's performance and speed. Apart from the score, a small upward arrow can be noticed. If this arrow is clicked, the reason behind the site's achieving such a score will be made clear through proper explanation. After going through the explanation, it will become easier for the user to take the necessary steps for improving the performance of the site.

Then, it's time to focus your attention on the Page Analysis Sectional View. Once this View is clicked, the user will come to know whether there exists any type of client error, connection error, or server error. If any of these type of errors are noticed, then immediate actions can be taken to remove the errors. After removing the errors, the Test needs to be carried out once again. This will provide a clearer view of whether the problems have been dissolved or not.

The last section features the History Bar. The functioning of this bar comes at a later stage post testing. After the site is tested properly, if the History Bar is clicked, the user can able to compare the site's performance from the time of testing till date. There will be a graphical interface displaying change in speed of page pre-testing and post-testing. There will also be graphs displaying change in page load time, page speed score, request count, and page size. This is the graphical interface that should not be ignored at all. The user can easily measure the site's overall response over a certain time through this graphical interface.

Pingdom is one effective tool that allows the visitors to experience lighting fast website surfing. In fact, the site traffic content will also increase by a greater extent. This will help in improving the raking of the site in popular search engines.
