Aptana Studio Review

Recently one of the most popular open sources IDE.  HTML5, CSS3, Ruby, Python, PHP and JavaScript are all supported and it’s faster, leaner and more easily customizable. Aptana Studio harnesses the flexibility of Eclipse and focuses it into a powerful web development engine. One of the points is that this IDE already started shifting from popular platform for Ruby developers to all rounder multi-purpose IDE. Key features of Aptana Studio: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Code Assist Deployment Wizard (FTP, SFTP, FTPS and Capistrano);(Heroku and Engine Yard) Integrated Debugger (Ruby & Rails and JavaScript) Git Integration Built-in Command Line Terminal IDE Customization Deployment wizard is really handy, as it handles almost any protocol, plus auto publishing to hosted Ruby services as Yard Engine and Heroku. The first version 3.0 was supporting only Ruby on Rails debugger, but latest 3.05 also support JavaScript debugger which makes Aptana really attractive. However it is not a good place to code JavaScript, despite the undoubted cleverness of Intellisense.
