Do’s and Don’ts of Facebook Marketing

Guide to proper Facebook social marketing. How to avoid pitfalls - do's and don'ts. DODo set up your page correctly. Don’t set yourself up as an individual, because people won’t be able to interact with you properly and you won’t be able to interact with them. Make sure your group orpage is open to everybody and that nobody will have to add you before they can talk to you. Do ensure your details are up to date and that your photograph is of something relevant. Your nameneeds to be of you or your company, and the photo absolutely has to be of something immediatelyrecognisable. There’s no excuse for an anonymous photo or the default blue Facebook avatar. Do actually talk to people on Facebook when you get the chance. There’s nothing worse than acompany that just transmits, or a profile that never engages in its users. If people comment on your updates then reply to them and encourage them.Do write on peoples walls. Do tag people in photos, and do mention people who you think might be interested in what you have to say. See the first “don’t” for more information on this one though.
